Ryan Shorosky’s idea to spend a year driving a heavy-duty truck across America started as a joke. “My father has been driving trucks for pretty much all of his life and I remember joking about doing it too, just to see his reaction,” says the LA-based photographer. “At first I was just joking, but then I started to think about that conversation. In one way or another photography was always on my mind. I was drawn to the idea of adventure and exploration, and once I realised that I could do it in a very structured way, living and working as a truck driver, it struck a chord with me.”
